I. SUBJECTS OF APPLICATION FOR CIRCULAR 28/2021/TT-BTTTT AND QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT

Circular 28/2021/TT-BTTTT (attached with QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT) applies to Vietnamese and foreign organizations and individuals engaged in manufacturing and business activities of equipment within the scope of this regulation in the territory of Vietnam.

II. MAIN CONTENT OF CIRCULAR NO. 28/2021/TT-BTTTT

Promulgated together with this Circular is the National Technical Regulation on 5G Non-Standalone Mobile Communication Network Terminal Equipment – Radio Access Part (QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT).
This Circular takes effect from July 01, 2022.

III. MAIN CONTENT OF QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT

This regulation specifies the radio access technical requirements for 5G non-standalone mobile communication terminal equipment operating on all or one of the combined band sets specified in Table 1 and complying with the regulations on the management and use of radio frequencies in Vietnam.
5G non-standalone mobile communication network mobile phone equipment must ensure operation on all specified combined frequency bands.
Note that combined band sets related to bands n77 and n78 must be ready and shall only be activated and used after these bands are planned in Vietnam.
This regulation applies to products and goods that are 5G non-standalone mobile communication network terminal equipment with HS codes specified in Appendix A (See details in the attached file below).
