Decision No. 228/QĐ-BTTTT on the Designation of Testing Organizations by the Ministry of Information and Communications

On February 16, 2025, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Decision No. 228/QD-BTTTT, granting the Designation to Phuc Gia Testing and Inspection Center – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation (PGL) to conduct testing activities for:

2G/3G/4G/5G mobile communication terminal equipment (according to QCVN 117:2023/BTTTT, QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 18:2022/BTTTT, QCVN 86:2019/BTTTT); Wi-Fi devices (QCVN 54:2020/BTTTT, QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 112:2017/BTTTT); short-range radio devices (QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT, QCVN 96:2015/BTTTT); multimedia equipment (QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT); wireless audio devices (QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT, QCVN 130:2022/BTTTT); Lithium batteries for handheld devices (QCVN 101:2020/BTTTT); and telecommunications and IT terminal equipment according to (QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT). This includes specialized Testing for 5G Standalone Mobile Communication Terminal Equipment in Vietnam.

On February 16, 2025, according to Decision No. 228/QĐ-BTTTT, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) designated Phuc Gia Inspection Testing Center – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation (PGL) to perform testing for various critical equipment groups in the fields of telecommunications and information technology. This Designation serves the quality management of products and goods with potential safety risks under the management responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC).

This Decision is effective until January 31, 2028, and replaces the previously issued Decision No. 2278/QĐ-BTTTT (dated November 17, 2023).

The list of equipment designated for testing under Decision No. 228/QĐ-BTTTT includes:

2G/3G/4G/5G mobile communication terminal equipment: QCVN 117:2023/BTTTT, QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 18:2022/BTTTT, QCVN 86:2019/BTTTT;
Wi-Fi equipment: QCVN 54:2020/BTTTT, QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 112:2017/BTTTT;
Short-range radio devices: QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT, QCVN 96:2015/BTTTT;
Multimedia equipment: QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT;
Wireless audio equipment: QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT, QCVN 130:2022/BTTTT;
Lithium batteries for handheld devices: QCVN 101:2020/BTTTT;
Telecommunications and information technology terminal equipment: QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT.

Accordingly, Phuc Gia Inspection Testing Center – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation is designated to perform testing for 14 products and goods according to the corresponding technical regulations, including:

Radio communication equipment, broadband data transmission equipment;
Broadband data transmission equipment operating in the 2.4 GHz band;
Short-range radio devices in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 25 MHz and magnetic loop equipment operating in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 30 MHz;
5 GHz band radio access equipment;
Mobile communication terminal and auxiliary equipment;
Wireless audio equipment in the frequency range from 25 MHz to 2000 MHz;
Wireless audio equipment in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 40 GHz;
Broadband radio data transmission equipment;
GSM, W-CDMA, E-UTRA terrestrial mobile communication terminal equipment;
Multimedia equipment;
5G Standalone mobile communication network terminal equipment;
5G Non-Standalone mobile communication network terminal equipment;
Lithium battery devices for handheld equipment;
Telecommunications and information technology terminal equipment.
