Guidance on Designing Labels for Fixed Surface-Mounted Luminaires According to Current Regulations

LED product labeling is currently subject to management and regulation by three to four Ministries/Agencies (The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), and The Government), depending on the product’s features. To help enterprises simplify the process of designing product labels—specifically LED Luminaire Labels—to comply with current regulations, Phuc Gia Laboratory has compiled the detailed regulations for LED products in this article. Below is a comprehensive table summarizing the required information that must be displayed on the product label for your reference.

Information on the Lamp/Luminaire Information on the Box or User Manual

Notes:

  • Information marked with “red text” is required by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) (this information may be displayed on the lamp, the box, or the user manual, and is not strictly mandatory according to the following distribution table, but Phuc Gia Laboratory has logically arranged it for the Customer’s reference);
  • Information marked with “black text” is required by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) (QCVN 19);
  • Information marked with “red text” and highlighted in yellow is required by both Ministries – and must be distributed as shown in the table below;
  • Information marked with “blue text” is required by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC);
  • Information marked with “pink text” is supplementary information required by Decree No. 43/2017/ND-CP and Decree No. 111/2021/ND-CP (decrees on product labeling).

Note: The information in the table is nominal information declared by the manufacturer (except for the information on the energy label and the ICT conformity mark – Phuc Gia Laboratory will design and send these to the enterprise).
