Labeling LED Bulbs to meet the requirements of LED Lighting Conformity under QCVN 19 (Mandatory labeling content according to QCVN 19 for LED Bulbs) or LED Bulb Labeling is one of the mandatory contents under the regulations of LED Lighting Conformity QCVN 19.

However, many enterprises manufacturing, trading, or importing LED lamps are not yet clear on the mandatory requirements that must be displayed on the label to ensure LED bulb labels comply with the requirements of QCVN 19 Conformity. Therefore, Phuc Gia Testing Laboratory will help your enterprise clarify the mandatory content to be displayed on labels for LED Bulbs.

Based on section 2.1.2, QCVN 19:2019/BKHCN, self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting services with supply voltages > 50 V (LED bulbs) must comply with the regulations in TCVN 8782:2017.

Based on Section 5 – Marking, TCVN 8782:2017, self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting services with supply voltages > 50 V (LED bulbs) must display the detailed labeling content in the following table:

5.1	Marking on the Lamp			Mandatory requirements for lamp markings. The markings must be clear and durable.

	b) Rated voltage or rated voltage range	Indicated as “V” or “volts”	Examples: 220 V; 220 – 240 V

5.2	Marking on the lamp, on the immediate wrapping or container, or in the installation instructions			The information in section 5.2 must be marked on: – The lamp; – Or on the immediate wrapping; – Or the lamp container; – Or in the installation instructions. Requirement: All content specified in the accompanying documentation must be displayed.
	a) Rated current	Indicated as “A” or “amperes”	Examples of marking: 0.16A; 160mA; 160 milliamperes…
	b) Weight warning	“For lamps with a weight significantly higher than the lamps they replace, attention should be drawn to the fact that the increased weight may reduce the mechanical stability of certain luminaires and lampholders and may impair contact making and lamp retention.”
	c) Special conditions or restrictions	Example: For lamps not suitable for dimming, a symbol such as the one in Figure 1 may be used	Figure 1: Dimming not allowed
	d) Lamps with glass bulbs not suitable for exposure to water must be marked with the symbol according to Figure 6	– This symbol must be placed on the packaging or provided in the accompanying information – The height of this symbol must be at least 5 mm – This symbol is not necessary if a warning such as “use only in dry locations” is provided	1. Display the following symbol on the packaging: Figure 6: Lamps not suitable for use in damp locations 2. The text “use only in dry locations” may be used as an alternative to the image above
5.3	Checking for conformity as follows:
	– Checking for the presence and legibility of markings:	Visual inspection of the requirements in 5.1
	– Checking the durability of markings	Attempt to remove the marking content using the following test procedure: Step 1: Rub the marking lightly for 15 s with a cloth soaked with water Step 2: – Dry after Step 1 – Rub lightly again for 15 s with a cloth soaked with hexane => Requirement: The marking shall still be legible after this test.
	– Checking supplementary information	The requirements in 5.2 shall be checked by inspection
