[MOST] Circular 07/2024 – Amendment of Legal Normative Documents

1. Main content of Circular 07/2024 – MOST

According to Decree No. 28/2023/Government Decree, the Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality has been reorganized into the National Standards and Metrology Quality Committee. Therefore, the Minister of Science and Technology has issued Circular No. 07/2024/MOST to amend legal normative documents related to the National Standards and Metrology Quality Committee.

The main content of the circular includes:

– Replacing the phrase “Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality” with “National Standards and Metrology Quality Committee”;

– Replacing the phrase “Director General of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality” with “Chairman of the National Standards and Metrology Quality Committee” in 77 legal normative documents.

2. Entry into Force

Circular No. 07/2024/TT-BKHCN, amending legal normative documents under the authority of the Minister of Science and Technology related to the National Standards and Metrology Quality Committee, shall enter into force on November 22, 2024.

3. Transitional Provisions

The tasks previously assigned to the Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality and its Director General, as stipulated in the legal normative documents of the Minister of Science and Technology from Articles 1 to 77 of Circular No. 07/2024/TT-BKHCN, are hereby transferred to the National Standards and Metrology Quality Committee and its Chairman for continued implementation.
