According to the regulations of the Ministry of Science and Technology, products classified as Fixed general purpose luminaires under QCVN 19:2019/BKHCN must undergo procedures for Testing, Certification of Conformity, and/or Declaration of Conformity, and must be labeled with the conformity mark before being placed on the market.

Regulations regarding lamp classification, scope of application, or lamps excluded from the scope for Fixed general purpose luminaires will be provided and clarified by Phuc Gia Testing Laboratory in the article below.

1. What are fixed general purpose luminaires?

Luminaires that cannot be easily moved from one place to another because they are fixed such that they can only be removed with the aid of a tool, or because they are intended for use out of arm’s reach.

Note: In general, fixed luminaires are designed for permanent connection to the supply, but connection may also be made by means of a plug or similar device.

2. What is the scope of application for Fixed general purpose luminaires under QCVN 19:2019/BKHCN?

Fixed general purpose luminaires for use with tungsten filament lamps, tubular fluorescent lamps, and other discharge lamps with supply voltages not exceeding 1000 V.
