Phuc Gia Testing and Inspection – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation has been designated by the Ministry of Information and Communications to test telecommunications and information technology equipment. This serves the quality management of products and goods capable of causing unsafety, which are under the management responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Specifically, Phuc Gia has received the Designation for Testing the following:
- 2G/3G/4G/5G mobile communication stations (per QCVN 117:2023/BTTTT, QCVN 127:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 129:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 18:2022/BTTTT, QCVN 86:2019/BTTTT);
- Wifi equipment (per QCVN 54:2020/BTTTT, QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT, QCVN 112:2017/BTTTT);
- Short-range radio equipment (per QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT, QCVN 96:2015/BTTTT);
- Multimedia equipment (per QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT);
- Wireless audio equipment (per QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT, QCVN 130:2022/BTTTT);
- Lithium batteries for handheld devices (per QCVN 101:2020/BTTTT);
- Telecommunications and information technology terminal equipment (per QCVN 132:2022/QD-BTTTT);
Concurrently, Phuc Gia Testing and Inspection – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation has received designation from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) (which has been merged with the Ministry of Information and Communications) for testing telecommunications and information technology equipment according to Decision No. 2899/QĐ-BKHCN, including: QCVN 94:2015/BTTTT; QCVN 103:2016/BTTTT; QCVN 113:2017/BTTTT; QCVN 114:2017/BTTTT; QCVN 119:2019/BTTTT; QCVN 47:2015/BTTTT; QCVN 73:2013/BTTTT; QCVN 74:2020/BTTTT; QCVN 122:2020/BTTTT)

1. Decision On the Designation of a Testing Laboratory
On 24/02/2020, the Ministry of Information and Communications granted the Designation for Testing to Phuc Gia Testing and Inspection – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation as a testing laboratory for Lithium Batteries for handheld devices per QCVN 101:2016/BTTTT, under Decision No. 251/QĐ-BTTTT.
On 29/09/2020, Phuc Gia Testing and Inspection – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation received a Designation for Testing from the (former) Ministry of Information and Communications as a testing laboratory for Lithium Batteries for handheld devices per QCVN 101:2020/BTTTT and IEC 62133-2:2017, under Decision No. 1638/QĐ-BTTTT.
On 27/01/2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications provided the Designation for Testing to Phuc Gia Testing and Inspection – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation as a testing laboratory for Lithium Batteries for handheld devices per QCVN 101:2020/BTTTT and IEC 62133-2:2017, under Decision No. 70/QD-BTTTT dated January 27, 2023 (updated with the new address at No. 1 Huynh Tan Phat, Sai Dong B Industrial Park, Thach Ban Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi City).
On November 17, 2023, the (former) Ministry of Information and Communications issued Decision 2278/QĐ-BTTTT, designating Phuc Gia Testing and Inspection – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation as a testing organization with the Designation for Testing:
- Lithium Battery testing per regulation QCVN 101:2020/BTTTT
- Electrical safety for telecommunications and information technology terminal equipment per QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT and IEC 62368-1:2018.
This marks a significant breakthrough for Phuc Gia Lab in the testing field, making Phuc Gia one of the few labs in Vietnam capable of performing this QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT at this time.

1.2. Decision on the Designation for Testing laboratory No. 2899/QD-BKHCN
On September 26, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) issued Decision No. 2899/QD-BKHCN, granting the Designation for Testing to the Phuc Gia Testing and Inspection Center – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation. This designation authorizes the testing of technical criteria such as Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radio Frequency for telecommunications and information technology products. Accordingly, Phuc Gia® received this additional Designation for Testing for the following technical regulations:
- Ultra-wideband (UWB) communication equipment: QCVN 94:2015/BTTTT
- Base station, repeater and auxiliary equipment in GSM, W-CDMA FDD and LTE mobile communication systems: QCVN 103:2016/BTTTT
- DECT equipment: QCVN 113:2017/BTTTT

2. Certificate of Registration for Testing Operations
On November 19, 2019, the Ministry of Information and Communications granted Phuc Gia Testing and Inspection – Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation its Designation for Testing as a laboratory for Lithium Batteries for handheld devices per QCVN 101:2016/BTTTT and IEC 62133-2:2017, under Certificate No. 501/GCN-BTTTT dated November 19, 2019. Accordingly, Phuc Gia Lab (VILAS 1212) was the second unit in Vietnam to receive the Designation for Testing Lithium Batteries per regulation QCVN 101:2016/BTTTT as of 19/11/2019.
On January 31, 2023, Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation was granted the Certificate of Registration for Testing Operations No. 49/GCN-BTTTT by the Ministry of Information and Communications. This certificate serves as its official Designation for Testing operations within the electrical – electronic field.
On September 26, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology granted Certificate of Registration for Testing Operations No. 398/GCN-BKHCN. Accordingly, Phuc Gia Laboratory Corporation is authorized to perform additional testing operations for the technical criteria regarding EMC for radio, telecommunications equipment and Radio Frequency (RF) technical requirements for information and telecommunications equipment.
