1. When must enterprises conduct Energy Efficiency Testing for Induction Hobs and Infrared Hobs and declare Energy Labeling for them?
Pursuant to Decision No. 14/2023/QĐ-TTg, the List and Roadmap for Energy-using Vehicles and Equipment to be eliminated and low-efficiency power generator units not to be newly built, issued by the Prime Minister on May 24, 2023, from April 1, 2025, manufacturing, trading, and importing units are mandatorily required to conduct Energy Efficiency Testing for Induction Hobs and Infrared Hobs, and complete the Declaration of EL.
Concurrently, Induction Hob and Infrared Cooker products with energy efficiency that do not meet the minimum energy efficiency level stipulated in the National Standards (TCVN) will be banned from import.
2. What are the Energy Efficiency Testing standards for Induction Hobs and Infrared Hobs?
- Induction Hobs: TCVN 13372:2021;
- Infrared Hobs: TCVN 13373:2021.
3. Which types of Induction Hobs and Infrared Hobs are required to undergo Energy Efficiency Testing and Declaration of Energy Labeling?
Pursuant to Decision No. 14/2023/QĐ-TTg, and based on the scope of application of the respective National Standards, the following types of Induction Hobs and Infrared Hobs are mandatorily required to undergo Energy Efficiency Testing and Declaration of EL:
Induction Hobs (TCVN 13372:2021): All types of induction hobs (hobs with at least one induction cooking zone), including induction hobs that integrate other types of cooking zones, such as radiant cooking zones.
Infrared Hobs (TCVN 13373:2021): All types of infrared hobs (hobs with at least one radiant cooking zone), including infrared hobs that integrate other types of cooking zones, such as induction cooking zones.
4. What are the technical requirements for Energy Efficiency Testing for Induction Hobs and Infrared Hobs?
- Induction Hobs: Requires the energy consumption level to be less than or equal to 210 Wh.
- Infrared Hobs: Requires the energy consumption level to be less than or equal to 210 Wh.
Note: This is a mandatory requirement for the product to meet the minimum energy efficiency level and be eligible to participate in energy labeling.
In addition to the regulations on Energy Efficiency Testing for Induction Hobs, these products must also undergo procedures for testing and regulation conformity certification according to QCVN 09:2012/BKHCN, as prescribed by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
