QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT Electromagnetic Compatibility for Multimedia Equipment

The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) issued QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT “National technical regulation on electromagnetic compatibility for multimedia equipment – Emission requirements”.

QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT was developed based on CISPR 32:2015 RLV and CISPR 32:2015/COR1:2016 of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT was drafted by the Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, appraised and submitted by the Department of Science and Technology, and issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) attached to Circular No. 08/2018/TT-BTTTT dated May 25, 2018.

I. SUBJECTS OF APPLICATION

This regulation applies to Vietnamese and foreign agencies, organizations, and individuals involved in manufacturing and trading equipment within the scope of this regulation in the territory of Vietnam.

II. MAIN CONTENT OF QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT

QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT stipulates requirements for Class A and Class B multimedia equipment. Equipment classification is specified in 1.6.

The objectives of this regulation are to:

Establish appropriate requirements to ensure that radio services operate normally in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 400 GHz;
Specify procedures to ensure the reproducibility of measurements and the repeatability of results.
