QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT on Wireless Audio Deivces (25

QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT, the national technical regulation on wireless audio devices in the frequency range from 25 MHz to 2000 MHz, was issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications along with Circular No. 26/2015/TT-BTTTT on September 28, 2015. I. APPLICABLE SUBJECTS

QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT regarding wireless audio devices in the frequency range from 25 MHz to 2000 MHz applies to Vietnamese and foreign organizations and individuals engaged in the manufacturing and trading of equipment within the scope of this regulation throughout the territory of Vietnam.

II. MAIN CONTENT OF QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT

This regulation was drafted by the Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications based on the ETSI EN 301 357-1 V1.4.1 (2008-11) standard of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). It was appraised and submitted for approval by the Department of Science and Technology, and issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications along with Circular No. 26/2015/TT-BTTTT.

1. Scope of Regulation

QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT applies to the following wireless audio devices with an operating frequency range of 25 MHz to 2,000 MHz:

Wireless headphones;
Wireless speakers;
In-ear monitoring devices using analog modulation with a bandwidth of 300 kHz or FDMA digital modulation with a bandwidth of 300 kHz, 600 kHz, or 1,200 kHz;
Wireless audio devices for automobiles;
Personal wireless devices;
Devices in wideband multi-channel audio systems;
Band II low-power devices in the frequency range from 87.5 MHz to 108 MHz (Band II for broadcasting services) using analog modulation with a bandwidth not exceeding 200 kHz.

2. Technical Regulations and Measurement Methods according to QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT

QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT, the national technical regulation on wireless audio devices in the 25 MHz to 2000 MHz frequency range, clearly requires the following:

General requirements for equipment to be tested; Testing conditions, power supply, and ambient temperature; General conditions; Analysis of measurement results and Measurement uncertainty.
Basic requirements, measurement methods, and limit levels for transmission parameters of Band II low-power devices. Additionally, it stipulates parameters, measurement methods, and limits for Frequency error, Carrier power, Channel bandwidth, Spurious emissions and enclosure radiation, and Shut-down/muting of wireless audio transmitters.
Measurement methods and limit levels for receivers (this part does not apply to Band II low-power devices).

III. EFFECTIVE DATE

QCVN 91:2015/BTTTT regarding wireless audio devices in the frequency range from 25 MHz to 2000 MHz is effective as of April 1, 2016. Relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing the regulations on the declaration of conformity for wireless audio devices in the 25 MHz to 2000 MHz frequency range and are subject to inspection by state management agencies according to current regulations.
