The Ministry of Industry and Trade Designates Phuc Gia Lab for Laptop Energy Efficiency Testing

According to the regulation of the Prime Minister (Decision No. 04/2017/QĐ-TTg), Notebook computers/Laptops must be energy labeled and comply with minimum energy performance standards before being circulated on the market.

The Government assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to perform guidance, inspection, and supervision of energy labeling for groups of vehicles and equipment subject to mandatory energy labeling. On that basis, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a decision Announcing the application of Standard TCVN 11848:2017 Notebook computers – Energy efficiency for the Energy Labeling Program for Notebook computer/Laptop products.

TCVN 11848:2017 Notebook computers/Laptops – Energy efficiency was announced by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Decision No. 2866/QĐ-BKHCN dated October 23, 2017.

In order to meet the testing needs for notebook computers/laptops of organizations and individuals engaged in the production and business of products and goods on the List of vehicles and equipment subject to mandatory energy labeling in Vietnam; and organizations and individuals with activities related to product and goods quality management on the List of vehicles and equipment subject to mandatory energy labeling in Vietnam, Phuc Gia Laboratory has been designated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The scope of designation for the Laboratory of Phuc Gia Laboratory is specified in Certificate No. 2181/GCN-BCT.

The Certificate of Registration for energy efficiency testing activities No. 2181/GCN-BCT issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on July 22, 2019, clearly defines the designated scope of Phuc Gia Lab, which includes Notebook computer/Laptop products.

Phuc Gia Laboratory is equipped with modern machinery and operated by highly qualified and experienced technicians. Therefore, Phuc Gia Laboratory provides accurate test results with high reliability.
