TCVN 6577:2020 stipulates performance testing, standard conditions, and test methods to determine the capacity and efficiency parameters of air-cooled Ducted Air Conditioner units and air-to-air ducted heat pumps.

This standard is limited to:

Split-system and unitary air conditioners and heat pumps for residential, commercial, and industrial use;
Factory-made, electrically driven and using mechanical compression;
Utilizing components with fixed, multi-stage, and variable capacities;
Multi-split systems using one or more refrigeration systems, with one outdoor unit and one or more indoor units, controlled by a single thermostat/controller.

The testing and rating requirements in this standard are based on the use of matched assemblies.

Note: TCVN 6577:2020 on Ducted Air Conditioner and air-to-air heat pumps – Testing and rating for performance does not include the determination of seasonal efficiencies, which may be required in some countries as they better represent performance under actual operating conditions.
