Scope of Application:

Based on Decision No. 14/2023/QD-TTg, Appendix I stipulates the testing standard for the energy efficiency of electric fans:

TCVN 7826:2015 On Electric Fans – Energy efficiency (applicable from July 15, 2023)

An excerpt from Section 1 (Scope of Application) of TCVN 7826:2015 specifies:

“This standard applies to table fans, pedestal fans, wall-mounted fans, and ceiling fans used for household and similar purposes. This standard specifies the minimum energy efficiency and the energy efficiency classification for electric fans.”

Note:

Ceiling Fan (ceiling pan) is a fan with 2 or more blades, with means for hanging from the ceiling so that the fan blades are in a horizontal plane;
Table Fan/ Wall-Mounted Fan (table fan) is a fan with 2 or more blades, designed for use with free air inlet and outlet. The fan can be placed on a table or on a wall or ceiling;
Pedestal Fan (pedestal fan) is a fan with two or more blades, mounted on a stand with a fixed or adjustable height and designed for use with free air inlet and outlet.
