1. What is a Meat Grinders?

The meat grinder is an electro-mechanical device designed to grind, chop, or puree meat and other food materials using either a rotating blade system or a screw auger. Structurally, the machine usually comprises a motor (electric or engine), a transmission system, a blade assembly, and a feed chute/tray; advanced models may also include crushing components, filtering screens, and a pusher mechanism.

The current market classifies meat grinders into key segments: handheld/mini devices for home use, medium-capacity desktop units for small restaurants, etc. These different classifications translate into varied technical and safety requirements, ranging from the structure of blade shielding to essential overload protection features. These differences directly impact the testing methodologies and conformity assessment criteria mandated by the Legal Regulations for Meat Grinders in Vietnam.
