QCVN 101:2016/BTTTT regarding Lithium Batteries for Portable Equipment

QCVN 101:2016/BTTTT was compiled by the Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, appraised and submitted for approval by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications enclosed with Circular No. 07/2016/TT-BTTTT dated March 17, 2016. It took effect from October 1, 2016, and expired on July 1, 2021, to be revised and newly applied under QCVN 101:2020/BTTTT.

1.2. Subjects of application

This Regulation applies to organizations and individuals engaged in manufacturing and business activities of equipment within the scope of this Regulation in the territory of Vietnam.

1.3. Normative references

QCVN 101:2016/BTTTT was developed based on international standards:

IEC 61960:2011 – “Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes – Secondary lithium cells and batteries for portable applications”, and
IEC 62133:2012 – “Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes – Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells, and for batteries made from them, for use in portable applications”.
