1. Scope of Application
Pursuant to QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN and Amendment 1:2018 QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN, electric hobs must undergo testing and conformity certification, bear the conformity mark (CR mark), and be subject to market inspection by quality control authorities in accordance with this regulation.
Accordingly, induction hobs must meet the technical requirements of TCVN 7492-1:2018 (replacing TCVN 7492-1:2010) regarding Electromagnetic Compatibility – Requirements for household appliances, electric tools, and similar apparatus. Section 1 (Scope of Application) of this standard specifies:
This standard specifies technical requirements for radio-frequency disturbance emissions in the frequency range of 9 kHz to 400 GHz from household appliances, electric tools, and similar electrical apparatus listed below, powered by AC or DC (including batteries/accumulators).
Therefore, all types of induction hobs (including induction hobs) – HS Code: 8516.60.90 – intended for household use must undergo testing, certification, and declaration of conformity according to QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN (while meeting the technical requirements of TCVN 7492-1:2018).

TCVN 7492-1:2018 (CISPR 14-1:2016) specifies the disturbance limits for induction hobs as follows:
- Limits for radiated disturbance (9kHz-30MHz);
- Limits for disturbance voltage at the mains terminals;
- Limits for disturbance power (30-300MHz);
- Limits for discontinuous interference (clicks).
Note: For appliances with multiple cooking zones, relevant measurements (e.g., clicks) are performed sequentially and separately on each cooking zone; this means only one cooking zone is operated during each individual measurement.

After obtaining the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Report for Induction Hobs in Vietnam according to QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN, enterprises shall perform conformity certification under Method 1 (typical sample testing) and carry out the declaration of conformity in accordance with current regulations. Upon completion of the declaration procedures, the enterprise is permitted to self-affix the conformity mark (CR mark) onto products that match the information in the Declaration of Conformity and the Certificate of Conformity.

Phuc Gia® is one of the organizations designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology to conduct electromagnetic compatibility testing for induction hobs according to Decision No. 2899/QD-BKHCN on the designation of conformity assessment organizations.
With a system of modern equipment and rigorous testing procedures, Phuc Gia® is committed to providing an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Report for Induction Hobs in Vietnam per QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN and Amendment 1:2018 QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN that is accuracy, objectivity, timeliness, and reliability, meeting current EMC regulations for household and office electrical and electronic products.
In addition to the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Report for Induction Hobs in Vietnam according to QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN, enterprises importing or manufacturing induction hobs must also satisfy electrical safety requirements under QCVN 4:2009/BKHCN before circulating products in the market.
