Scope of Application

This standard specifies requirements for fixed general purpose luminaires intended for use with tungsten filament lamps, tubular fluorescent lamps, and other discharge lamps at a supply voltage not exceeding 1000V. These requirements aim to ensure compliance with the rules on Electrical Safety in design and operation.
